Learn the harp online from anywhere in the world!

Virtual Harp Social is the online version of the popular in person Little Harp Social programme founded by international harpist Keziah Thomas.

The level 1 online course consists of 10 weekly classes and you will be sent a 15 string lap harp to use during the course.

At the end of the course you will have had fun learning fundamental harp technique and you will have a repertoire of 10 pieces which you can play along to specially arranged backing tracks to your friends and family!

You don’t need to have any prior musical knowledge to take part and for those students who have never learnt to read music before, there is an optional add-on practical theory class each week.

If you love the course, you can then carry on to Levels 2, 3, 4 and 5 and beyond!

How much does the course cost?

• The level 1 course cost is £400 and includes the hire of a 15 string lap harp, 10 online classes, course book, backing tracks and instructional videos.

• You can also take the course you already own a harp at a cost of £350.

• The course cost is paid in three instalments.

• The course cost of £400 includes renting one of our 15 string lap harps which will be sent to you before the course begins. At the end of the 10 week course you will receive a shipping link to send the harp back to us.

What is included?

• The hire of a 15 string lap harp which will be sent to you in time for the first class.

• The course book and CD/downloadable backing tracks to practise along to at home.

• 10 weekly lessons delivered via the (free) zoom video conferencing app. (you can choose a daytime class or an evening class or you can come to both!)

• Access to the Little Harp Social Vimeo channel with videos to help you practise.

What will I learn?

• Good fundamental harp technique taught by an internationally recognised teacher.

• Foundation level music theory, rhythm and note learning.

• 1 exercise and 1 piece each lesson in a wide range of celtic, classical, jazz and popular music styles with play along backing tracks.
